We are seeking a talented Senior Software Test Engineer (STE) to join our team. As a STE, you will play a key role in developing and implementing software solutions for our projects. The ideal candidate should have experience in Node.js automation technologies, particularly PlayWright for frontend Automation. Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams is essential.
Responsibilities:
Minimum requirement of 5 years' experience in software development testing with a minimum of 3 yrs experience in Automation (Playwright) or Cypress(Optional) .
Experience in setting up Node.js Automation Frameworks from scratch.
Strong in JavaScript programming experience(TypeScript Optional)
Experience using Playwright Page Object Model, Mock API, Test Generator, Fixures, Assertions, Parameterization and Test Viewer.
Experience using a Continuous Integration tool is preferred (preferably JENKINS ) and Docker .
Good knowledge of Web Services.
Experience in using Open Source Tools knowledge (such as test cases repository, defect tracking, SOUP UI, STORM, etc.)
Good to have exposure in Mobile Application testing includes UI, Responsive Testing, Regression tests, and Performance tests.
Working knowledge of web technologies including basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and DOM .
Good Written & Communications skills.
Understanding of latest technologies and architecture practices along with various design patterns.
Knowledge on database and application performance improvement and application security is required.
Experience on code reviews, architectural reviews, functional reviews and giving estimations.
Good to have exposure to information security practices.
Skills Required:
5+ years of experience in software Testing, with 3+ years hands-on expertise in Node.js automation for Web.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Playwright Automation: Proficiency in Playwright, deep understanding of Playwright's API and effectively use it for automating web applications.
Programming Skills : Hand-on with languages like JavaScript, Typescript, or Python to write the test scripts.
Knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
Experience with test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines
Problem-solving and debugging skills to troubleshoot and optimize automated tests.
Manual Testing : Understanding different testing methodologies, test case creation, execution, and defect tracking.
Database/SQL : Ability to write and execute SQL queries to validate data and test databases.
API Testing : Knowledge of testing web services and APIs using tools like Postman or SoapUI. Understanding of Swagger
Version Control : Understanding of tools like Bitbucket or Git to manage and track code versions.
Testing Tools : Ability to use tools like JIRA, Test Management tool- TestRail/Qmetry.
Understanding of software development processes and Agile methodologies.
